I often explain that it felt very natural to get into burlesque, because I had already spent several years posing nude for photo projects and regularly dancing with street musicians (street performances are by far the best school for developing stage presence).
Basically, that means that modesty and the fear of looking ridiculous are two concepts that are foreign to me, which allowed me to feel right at home from my very first burlesque performance.
In a way, my life as a performer always revolves around these 3 categories: burlesque dancer, muse, and my love of street arts.
