Round 2! These pics are from 2016 and 2017. I find it so cool to see his style evolving over the years. The bad lighting and simple background of our first photoshoot are definitely gone, and Photoshop has established itself as a new tool to explore. Actually, if you pay close attention you’ll notice my treble clef tattoo is removed in one picture, which I find kinda cool.

Disciples of Desire

Round 2. This shoot with the snake was so fun. I actually begged Chef to contact his buddy with the snakes during the short week I was in L.A.
I’m not scared of snakes (I’m not scared of anything, really) but it was definitely impressive to feel such a STRONG animal crawling around my body. This beast could have killed me so easily if it had been hungry.
Anyway, enjoy these pure moments of wild joy shooting with Disciples of Desire.

Neto Macedo

I met Neto through Couchsurfing when I was backpacking through Brazil. When I read in his profile that he was a photography teacher in college, I sent him a request to stay with him and suggested we should find the time to shoot together during the few days I was going to be around, even if he couldn’t host me.
He did host me and we did shoot, once in his studio and once outdoors. Such great pics and such great memories. De verdade, tenho muita saudade do Brasil….

Ashley

I met Ashley through Model Mayhem too, but the big difference with all the photographers I ever worked with through that platform is that I agreed to do a TFP shoot with Ashley.
For people who don’t know the lingo of the modeling world, TFP means Time For Print, meaning the model and photographer are not being paid because they want to grow their portfolio and feel the other artist is worth working with for free, knowing the pics are going to be great, maybe even incredible.
There is no cis male photographer in the world who could get my time for free by contacting me through Model Mayhem. But not only did Ashley have a great portfolio that I liked right away, she’s also a woman. So I said, why the fuck not.

I’m so glad I did. We have shot a few times together since that first shoot in Vegas, and the pics are always stunning.
